If you are in need of sparkly drink, go for this zero sugar champagne, imported and distributed by The Vino Beano (naughty, but nice). More information below:

£175 per case - distributed by The Vino Beano

Tasting Notes: A beautiful zero dosage Blanc de Blancs Champagne that is wonderfully lacy and pure. It opens up with an appealing creamy nose that is further expanded on the palate offering notes of fresh apples, citrus zest and fine, elegant bubbles that linger. Like all of their wines, it is produced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards. Drink 2017 to 2027.

Production Area: La Grâce d'Alphaël is produced from a blend of grapes from 4 Grand Cru villages - Cramant, Avize, Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The average vine age is 30 years old, but the oldest dates back to 1945 while the most recent was planted in 2016. They farm 4.5 hectares which are dispersed over 49 different parcels, enabling a number of variations in soil, aspect and micro-climate.

Wine Type: 100% Chardonnay

Details of Harvest: Non-vintage.

Vinification Process: This blended Grand Cru wine is vinified in stainless steel with selected yeasts. Malolactic fermentation is carried out on all of their Champagnes. It spends at least 24 months on its lees before being disgorged. This Champagne has had no dosage. This specific bottling is mainly fruit from 2013 with 30% reserve wine from 2012 and 2011.

Food Matching: Due to the elegant nature of Chardonnay and the Glavier's lacy style of winemaking, this wine could easily be drunk on its own for an apéritif or could nicely accompany oysters, sushi, seafood, poultry or even pork - lighter styled rather than robust dishes.
